Simple Patriotic Clown Face Paint Tutorial

2016-06-30 CA-PatrioticClownStep04

This happy clown is a perfect patriotic design for your board on the 4th of July. If you haven’t tried clowns before, you’ll find this one simple and fun to do.

Materials

Paradise white face paint
TAG royal blue face paint
Paradise red face paint
Sponge
Star stencil
#5 round brush
Small filbert brush or cotton swab

Tutorial

Begin by sponging white over the entire face. You may have to apply a second coat after the first is dry in order to make it very white.

Keeping your red paint fairly dry on the sponge so it doesn’t bleed underneath the stencil, hold a star stencil in place over the eyes and over the nose to create red star pattern. Choose a large star from your stencils for the tip of the nose.

Load the #5 round brush with TAG royal blue and create swirls and teardrops around the eyes to define the eye area.

For the lips, use either a small filbert brush or a cotton swab to make the lips red. (I use a disposable cotton swab for hygienic purposes.) For the circles at the corners of the mouth, use a filbert or a round brush.
