Tribals have great appeal to teens and adults, so it's always a good idea to have a few in your repertoire. With summer parties coming keep in mind that you can easily adapt tribal designs to look good on the arm, shoulder, ankle, or leg as well.
Materials
• Black face paint (Diamond FX or Wolfe)
• Metallic split cake (FAB shimmers in example)
• White face paint (Diamond FX or Wolfe)
• FAB Ocean shimmer
• #4 or #5 round brush
• #2 round brush
• Sponge
• Cosmetic-grade glitter (blue)
Tutorial
Load a sponge from your favorite FAB shimmer colors (or other metallics). In this case, I used Ocean, Ziva blue, and Sapphire.
With the #4 or #5 round brush and black, create a basic tribal design over the top of the sponged colors as shown in the example below and pull thorn shapes out from it.
Add a swirl with thorns on the top.
Add a second swirl on the cheekbone.
Add at least two v-shapes (connected thorns) to keep the balance of the design.
After the black is entirely dry, load your #2 round brush with FAB Ocean and brush over the top of the black shapes. Complete the design by adding small dots and starbursts over the colors and around the design.
