With Valentines Day on the horizon, it’s time for a little themed magic. This routine will be easy to learn and uses heart shaped balloons and chocolate, so you know it’s going to be good! Although simple to perform, this piece of magic is really strong and has a sweet ending that will leave the crowd wanting more!

There is just a little set up involved before you perform and then you are ready for the show.

Heart shaped balloons.

Wrapped piece of heart shaped candy.

A Pin.

The set up:

For the routine you want 3 or 4 heart balloons of different colors.  You need duplicate balloons of those same colors for making the gimmick.

*Cut a piece from one heart shaped balloon and place it inside another of the same color.

*Roll the piece so it will fit down the neck of the balloon; push it in with the blunt end of a pen or pencil.

*You may need to inflate the balloon just a little for the piece to fall inside.

Repeat this with the reaming balloons. Don’t discard the cut balloons as you can use them for more gimmicks.

This load will make a sound when you shake the inflated balloon as if there is a surprise inside.

Now that you have the balloons prepped, let’s learn the routine.

Step 1. Have the Heart candy concealed in a pocket or other easy to reach hiding spot.

Step 2. Bring out the un-inflated heart balloons and show them to the spectator, ask them to pick one of the balloons.

Step 6. Bring out a pin and hand it to the spectator, tell them this will help find the surprise you have for them.

Step 8. While you hold the balloon in both hands have the spectator place one hand under the balloon and the other hand over top with the pin.

Ta Da! You have successfully pulled off an amazing piece of magic.

*Notice how the spare piece of balloon just looks as if it belongs with the popped balloon.
